The tears I shed knew no hope, but knew one thing-That you were strong, and I love you.
As my family placed you on the bed at the hospital, you cried. You couldn't stand up, your legs twitching, your eyes going off in different directions, but looked at me. I was crying of fear, the fear of losing you. You knew my heart couldn't stand it.
You thought I wouldn't be with you, the other family members left. But I was still there. You curled up into my lap, looking at me with big adorable eyes, a tear coming out. A tear of mine does, to. And lands on your golden fur. I say "I love you," then I whisper "so much..."
The shot digs into your arm, and your eyes grew wider, a big huff out of you, and your head lays gently onto my arm. Your eyes wide open, full of life it seems. But your as dead as the next person...
I kiss your beautiful head, with your eyes not moving. Just staring. I leave the room, crying, but trying to hold it in. Proving to you that I was strong.
So hard as it is, a smile spreads across my face. Its so hard to do, but I managed it get it through. Why? Because, your out of pain. You are free, in paradise. Where you are is better then where I am...
I get into the car, and look at where you laid. You laid there not to long ago. But now, you lay and rest in my heart. In all of our hearts.
The rain pores down, steady and mellow. I place my finger onto the window, its so cold and watery, but its worth it. I draw a paw, and draw a heart around it, and at the top I wrote:
R.I.P. Ginger
