Commission questions!

So, I asked my mom if I could do commissions, she asked what they were and I told her its where people pay for your art. She told me don't you have to give away your address for that?

Do you giveaway your address when you do commissions? I want to buy from so many people like my bestest sis lonely wolf(she needs some money!!) but my mom doesn't like giving away our address...She said its OK if we made a paypal and gave them our address but not random people on the internet...
